In the past decade wine collecting has become more and more popular. Along with the collecting of wine, displaying these collections now take center stage in the interior design of many homes. No longer are bottles left to age in damp, dusty basements, or is wine collected just by aristocrats.
Today there is a much younger affluent market interested in collecting wine. These collections are displayed in beautifully designed cellars, with custom design storage racks, along with humidors, leather armchairs, entertainment systems, technology that inventories the wine, and high tech security systems, with specialty lighting, and secret passages and rooms, these cellars can cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. However any collector can enjoy a beautifully designed cellar, on a more modest budget.
and for city dwellers with no basement space…..
A cellar can also be a room divider like the one in the image below
Have you thought about starting a collection or maybe you already have one? Building a small cellar adds value to your property; collecting wine is an enjoyable hobby, and a great way to entertain guests. Cellars or a small collection displayed creatively in a room can be a very interesting, and beautiful decorative element.
